Re-Registering DLLs

Re-Registering 2 Encryption DLLs

BACKGROUND

If DLLs were not properly registered during installation, it may be necessary to un-register and then re-register the 2 encryption DLLs
Be sure to do this with Administrative rights on the computer. Please see the information in the Installation FAQ on how to check for ADMIN rights.

It may be best to involve your IT Department or Network Administration Staff before doing this process.

1. Exit from the HRS Pro application on the workstation

2. Search for XceedCry.dll on the local workstation drive and note where it is located

3. UN-REGISTER
Choose Start, Run, then type in
    regsvr32.exe /U ____________________
Instead of the underline, type in the path and filename in starting and ending double quotes
      example: regsvr32.exe "c:\windows\system32\XceedCry.dll"
      example: regsvr32.exe "c:\windows\system32\XceedZip.dll"

4. TO RE-REGISTER
Repeat the same process but without the /U

Once the DLLs have been registered, should receive a confirmation in the form of a pop up box
This message will list the newly registered DLL file and confirm that is was successfully registered into the registry.

5. If encryption still does not occur, please advise with a knowledgeable computer user, your IT Department or Network Administration Staff before contacting us through the support form.
